WhatsApp Redesigns Attachment Menu Interface
WhatsApp has constantly updated its features over the years, making it almost on par with other popular communication apps like Telegram and Signal. However, certain parts of its user interface still look a bit outdated. Recently, WhatsApp has been spotted fixing at least one such quirk in its Android app.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently working on redesigning its attachment menu interface in its latest v2.23.6.17 beta build for Android. The new interface first appeared in a beta release for iPhone earlier this month. This redesigned menu provides more space so that WhatsApp can add new features to its app without sacrificing its ease of use and simplicity.
However, the new interface is not a major revamp compared to the existing design in the Android app. It only features updated icons to make it look more modern. Additionally, it doesn’t bring any functionality changes, at least in its current status in the beta channel.
Like with other features that WhatsApp is testing, there’s no telling when the redesigned chat menu will be available on the stable channel. Users who want to experience the new interface can join the WhatsApp beta program on the Google Play Store or sideload the latest beta build from APKMirror.
