“Activate Emergency SOS and Fall Detection on Your Google Pixel Watch”

Maximize Safety with the Google Pixel Watch

The Google Pixel Watch is an exceptional Android smartwatch offering remarkable features and an appealing design. Aside from Google Assistant integration and Google’s exclusive watch faces, two recent additions – Emergency SOS and Fall Detection – make the Google Pixel Watch an even more worthwhile investment. This guide illustrates how to turn on these features so that you can increase your safety level.

Emergency SOS and Fall Detection Explained

The Emergency SOS feature on the Pixel Watch lets you call emergency services in case of an emergency by activating the crown five times quickly. By turning on Emergency Location Services, emergency services can locate you. You also have the option to add emergency contacts to be contacted instead of emergency services.

The Fall Detection feature, on the other hand, uses the Pixel Watch’s accelerometer and machine learning to identify potential falls. Your Pixel Watch will alert you if Fall Detection is triggered and then ask if you want to contact emergency services. If you don’t respond, the Pixel Watch will make an assisted emergency call for you. You can also set up an emergency contact to be called instead of emergency services.

Before we show you how to enable these features, let us inform you that if you have a Google Pixel Watch with LTE service, Emergency SOS and Fall Detection will attempt to make an assisted emergency call from the wearable. For Wi-Fi-only Pixel Watches, they must be within range of your phone and paired via Bluetooth.

It’s worth noting that these features may work differently or be unavailable outside the US. Please read the Google Pixel Watch documentation for these features.
