All Google One Subscribers Now Get a VPN for Secure Browsing and More
If you’re a subscriber to the top plan offered by Google One—the 2TB plan priced at $9.99 per month—you can browse online with the VPN (Virtual Private Network) by Google One. Google has announced that it will now offer this VPN feature to all Google One subscribers, regardless of their plan. Whether you use Android or iOS mobile devices, or computing devices running on Windows or Mac, VPN by Google One adds an extra layer of security to your online activity, even if you’re paying just $1.99 per month for 100GB of storage.
Extra Layer of Security
VPN by Google One protects you from online trackers by hiding your IP address. You also get an extra layer of protection on public Wi-Fi networks and other unsecured communication channels. But the Google One Dark Web Report provides an alert in case your personal info, such as your name, address, email, phone number, or Social Security Number, has been seen on the dark web.
If your Social Security Number is found on the dark web, the Google One Dark Web Report may suggest that you report the number as stolen and take additional steps to safeguard your credit. The report may also recommend further steps to take, depending on the information found on the dark web.
