New AirPods Pro 2 Ad Focuses on Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode
Apple released the second-generation AirPods Pro last September, featuring 2x better Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology to block distracting background noise. With Spatial Audio and dynamic head tracking, users can experience surround sound immersion. The newest ad for the AirPods Pro 2 emphasizes its noise-blocking features, including the transparent mode that allows users to hear ambient noises when necessary, with a focus on pedestrian safety.
The AirPods Pro 2 Blocks Distracting Ambient Sounds
The video for the ad, titled “The New AirPods Pro, Quiet the Noise,” features the song “Where is my Mind?” by Tkay Maidza playing as various sources of noise, such as a jackhammer, garbage truck, heavy traffic, a marching band, and a barking dog, start to float off the ground, symbolizing the AirPods Pro 2’s ability to block out excess noise.
Our heroine, a young woman wearing the AirPods Pro 2 earbuds, is walking through the city, headbanging to her music, with all of the surrounding noise blocked. Once she reaches a busy street corner, she activates Transparency Mode, allowing in ambient sounds around her, and decides to buy juice from a street cart vendor. The switch between modes is signaled by a chime.
Upon switching noise-control modes, all of the noisy objects come crashing down, and our protagonist can hear the typical sounds of the city through her AirPods Pro 2 earbuds. After enough outside noise, she switches back to Noise Cancellation and turns off Transparency Mode.
Transparency Mode Enhances Pedestrian Safety
The ad stresses the importance of switching back to Transparency Mode when necessary, such as when walking the streets of the city and needing to hear sirens or car horns, indicating a moving vehicle is nearby.
Additional Features and Benefits
The AirPods Pro 2 come with IPX4 protection from sweat and splashes, with no protection from dust, and feature Apple’s new H2 chip. The charging case including a U1 Ultra-wideband chip can help iPhone 11 and later models find a misplaced AirPods Pro 2 charging case. The earbuds can deliver up to six hours of listening time with a single charge and provide up to 30 hours of listening time with the case. Additionally, charging the earbuds for just 5 minutes in the case provides around one hour of listening time or talk time.
As a member of the Apple ecosystem club, the AirPods Pro 2 allow you to enjoy your music and calls with minimal outside noise distractions. Keep an eye out for the ad during your favorite sporting events, as it runs for 68 seconds and may be whittled down to a 60-second or 30-second spot.
