Google Ends New Pixel Superfan Registrations in the UK Shortly Post Launch

Google’s Pixel Superfans Program Expands to the UK

Pixel phones have a dedicated following due to their software, camera, and unique design. Google created the Pixel Superfans program for their most loyal fans, offering swag, invitations to events, and referral codes. However, the program was only available for US users until recently. Last weekend, Google quietly extended the program to the UK but has since closed applications again. The UK is the second country to have the program, but Google may expand it to others in the future.

Google created a separate sign-up form for UK users hosted in the UK version of the Google Store. It’s not clear why Google did not make any announcement about the new program. Currently, applications are closed for the UK form, with Google citing a high influx of responses as the reason for their temporary closure. However, Google’s secrecy about the Pixel Superfans program in the UK is spreading through word-of-mouth.

Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

Alongside the Pixel Superfans program, Google recently released the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel 7 Pro improves on the Pixel 6 Pro, enhancing stability and offering even better camera performance with 4K60fps video and image fusion. The Pixel 7 also features an upgraded camera and Google’s next-gen Tensor G2 chipset. Both models come with Google’s feature-filled software.
