Huawei P60 Pro Design Sketch Reveals iPhone 14 Pro Feature Integration

Introduction

In an exciting news update, Realme C55 became the first Android phone to include a Dynamic Island-like feature known as the Mini Capsule. The feature is different from the Dynamic Island found on iPhone 14 Pro models. The Mini Capsule feature provides information regarding phone charge status, low battery warning, data usage, and the number of steps/walking distance tallied for the day.

Huawei P60 Pro

Huawei P60 Pro, set to release on March 23rd, is rumored to have a Dynamic Island-type system. According to a sketch posted on Chinese social media site Weibo, it features a pill-shaped area on the top of the screen combined with a punch-hole selfie camera. However, the Huawei P60 Pro will not be second Android phone with a Dynamic Island. Due to Huawei’s placement on the U.S. Entity List, it created its own operating system, which means this new phone will have a pre-installed operating system called HarmonyOS 3.1.

Display and Processor

The Huawei P60 Pro will feature a curved 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 1440p (QHD+) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will be used under the hood, with modifications to prevent it from working with 5G signals.

Camera and Photography System

The P60 Pro’s primary camera will have a 50MP Sony IMX888 image sensor, while the ultra-wide camera features a 50MP Sony IMX858. For telephoto, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor will provide 3.5x optical zoom. Along with the cameras, the phone will also have a 3D Time of Flight sensor. As for the photography system, Huawei’s in-house XMAGE technology will be used.

Battery and Charging

The P60 Pro has a 5000mAh battery and will charge at an amazing 100W wired and 50W wireless. This battery will keep the phone’s lights on, and Huawei claims that it will last for a long time—possibly a whole day or more—on one charge.

Other Devices from Huawei’s March 23rd Launch

Alongside the P60 Pro, Huawei plans to introduce two more devices: the less premium P60 and the new Mate X3 foldable. Photos from the P60 Pro’s telephoto camera have already been posted by a Huawei executive, and consumers are excited to see what the other two devices will be like.
