Introducing Nothing Ear 2: What We Know So Far
After two years from the launch of Nothing Ear 1, Carl Pei’s company announced that the Nothing Ear 2 is coming soon. However, the company kept its mysterious image by not revealing much about its latest product except for a teaser image of the case and the date of its official launch.
The launch event will be streamed live on the Nothing website on March 22 at 10:00 am ET (7:00 am PT), where interested individuals can sign up to be notified about it. The company tagline reads, “Better sound. Better clarity. Just better.” However, it is common for companies never to claim that their next product generation is inferior to its predecessors.
In a press statement, the company revealed that Ear 2 “celebrates Nothing’s iconic design with elite engineering and next-level personalization for the ultimate sound experience.”
Nothing posted a teaser image showing an atlas beetle pushing the Ear 2 case. It is unclear from the perspective, but it is likely that Ear 2 will have a similar rectangular shape design to Ear 1. The transparent design of the Ear 1 may also be carried over to its successor, with the Ear 2 visibly showcased in the transparent case.
According to previous rumors, the Ear 2’s earbuds will feature a design similar to Ear 1 with minor alterations in microphone placement. The company has also launched the Nothing Ear Stick, a more affordable option than Ear 1, which was launched a year after its release.
Nothing is expected to reveal more details about the Ear 2 during its launch event.
