“Leaked: Exynos 2300 SoC Specs – Possible Powerhouse for Google Pixel 8 Pro”

Leaked Kernel Information for Exynos 2300

It has been reported that the Google Tensor 3 chip, which will power the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, will be produced using Samsung Foundry’s third-generation 4nm process node. Recently, a tipster leaked the kernel information on Twitter for the Exynos 2300 SoC, which could be a modified version of the chip used in Google’s Tensor 3. The chipset carries a codename of “Quadra” and is said to have a 1+4+4 configuration that includes a Cortex-X3 high-performance core clocked at 3.09GHz, four performance cores (the ARM Cortex-A715) clocked at 2.65GHz, and four efficiency cores (ARM Cortex-A510) clocked at 2.10GHz. The graphics chip is expected to be the Samsung Xclipse 930, and there is also a rumored special core for One UI optimization.

Exynos 2500 Rumors

There have been rumors that Samsung is working on the Exynos 2500, which could have a new Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI and Machine Learning. The Exynos 2500 is expected to have two X5 high-performance cores, two Cortex-A7xx performance cores, four Cortex-A5xx efficiency cores, a One UI optimization core, and an AMD RDNA2 GPU. This chipset could be featured in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series.

Google Tensor and Tensor 2

Google’s Tensor and Tensor 2 chips are currently used in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 lines, respectively. The original Tensor chip was based on a modified Exynos 2100, while the Tensor 2 used a modified Exynos 2200. The latter is expected to power the upcoming Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, and mid-range Pixel 7a models. It is speculated that the mid-range Pixel 7a and the foldable Pixel Fold could be revealed on May 10th during Google’s I/O 2023 developer conference and released the following month.
