“Leaked Video Reveals Display Panels for Upcoming iPhone 15 Series”

iPhone 15 Series Glass Panels Leaked on Twitter

Tipster Shrimp Apple Pro recently posted a video on Twitter featuring three glass panels that are said to be used in the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

Panel Size

While there are three panels in the video, only two different sizes are required as the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro are expected to have 6.1-inch displays while the iPhone 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are likely to sport 6.7-inch screens. However, there could be a difference in quality.

Dynamic Island Feature

All four iPhone 15 models are rumored to carry the Dynamic Island feature, which is currently only available on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The feature has a cutout on all the display panels in the video.

Future of Dynamic Island

According to a report by The Elec, Apple might move the TrueDepth Camera for Face ID under the display for the iPhone 16 line, allowing them to remove the Dynamic Island by 2024. This could result in a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing FaceTime camera on the iPhone 16 series.

Design Features

The leaked panels feature curved bezels at the corners. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to feature the Dynamic Island and 48MP wide cameras, replacing the 12MP sensors found on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The non-Pro units will be powered by the A16 Bionic chip while the Pro and Ultra models will have the A17 Bionic chip, which could be the only handsets with a 3nm SoC this year. The iPhone 15 Ultra might also have a titanium body and a periscope lens with 10x optical zoom.

Release Information

The iPhone 15 series is expected to be announced in September and released during the same month.
