“New iPhone 14 Color Option Expected Next Week, Reveals Apple”

Apple Rumored to Add Yellow Color Option to iPhone 14

New Green Shades Added to iPhone 13 Models Last Year

Last March, Apple introduced two new shades of green for the iPhone 13 lineup. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini added a new hue named “Green,” while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max were available in a lighter shade called “Alpine Green.”

Tipster Hints at Yellow iPhone 14 Models

A tipster on the Chinese social media platform Weibo recently posted a message indicating that the iPhone 14 would come in yellow. While the tipster’s credibility is unknown, other online sources have also predicted a mid-cycle color addition to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

Apple has a history of releasing new color options for its iPhones mid-cycle. In 2021, the tech giant added a purple color choice for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini buyers. It’s rumored that Apple’s public relations team is planning a product briefing soon, though it’s unclear whether this will include news of a new color option.

Yellow Has Appeared in Past Apple Device Color Options

Apple has offered yellow as a color option for previous iPhone models, including the iPhone XR in 2018 and the iPhone 11 in 2019. Yellow is also a choice for those who want to purchase the 10th-generation iPad. Currently, the color options for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are Blue, Purple, Midnight (black), Starlight (white/silver), and (PRODUCT)RED.

It’s not clear whether the yellow color option would be available for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, as the current rumor only mentions the non-Pro models. The current choices for the Pro models include Deep Purple, Gold, Silver, and Space Black. Apple may choose not to add a new color to the Pro models if it feels that they do not need it.

Adding a new color option to the iPhone 14 lineup would likely generate renewed media attention for the devices, which has been lacking since their release in September 2021.
