Motorola’s 2023 Razr+ Will Be A Major Upgrade
In 2019, Motorola entered the foldable phone market with the Motorola Razr, which aimed to evoke nostalgia with its design inspired by the legendary RAZR flip phone that was launched in 2004. However, after competing with Samsung’s clamshell foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip series, Motorola realized that nostalgia alone could not compete. Therefore, the company shifted its strategy and last year introduced the new Razr with several upgrades. Now, the new Razr+ is set to launch soon with even more changes, including a minor branding tweak.
According to MySmartPrice, the new Razr will be named Razr+ instead of just Razr, which Motorola has used before, such as with the 2022 Motorola Edge+. However, we are uncertain about what this naming convention will mean for the phone, as there will only be one entry expected for 2023. We do know that the phone’s cover screen has gone bigger, measuring 2.7 inches, and that the battery capacity is 2,850 mAh with a wired charging speed of 30W. However, information such as the processor, storage and RAM capacity, and the inner folding display specifications are unconfirmed at this point.
The Razr+ is expected to launch soon, so we can expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks.
