February’s monthly software update for many Samsung devices not only brings new security patches but also a major move up to One UI 5.1. Samsung is known for distributing updates quickly and efficiently. However, it may take a little longer for American carriers to push the February 2023 monthly update to your Galaxy device.
In the past three weeks, Samsung has rolled out the update to all the Galaxy S and Z releases from the last few years, as well as the Note 20 series and a few Galaxy A and Galaxy Tab S entries. Notably, the Galaxy S23 series received an out-of-the-box patch update, and Samsung distributed the patch first to the Note 20, beating Google once again.
According to a report from SamMobile, US carriers are passing on the same builds for the most part, but potentially at slightly different times. Verizon is the only major carrier that posts detailed software update information, including release dates, for its devices. However, the timing of the update rollout may vary depending on your carrier. We’ll update the list of devices below if we catch other models receiving the February patch.
