Google may be working on its own foldable device, which could be released alongside the Pixel 7. Concrete details on the device are currently scarce, but leaks have suggested that the device, which may or may not be called the Pixel Fold, is still far away from being ready for release. Google first confirmed it was experimenting with foldable form factors in 2019, but didn’t pursue the project at the time. However, leaks and rumors surrounding the Pixel Fold have been surfacing, including the fact that the device may feature a smartphone-like exterior screen and a tablet-like interior display similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. Leaked images and animations of the Pixel Fold suggest it will feature a centered hole punch camera on the front display and a teardrop hinge similar to the Oppo Find N series. Camera details leaked through the Google Camera app code suggest the device will have a 12.2 MP Sony IMX363 primary sensor, although there are few other confirmed details about its hardware.
